Linkam welcome AD Creative to the UK!

We were delighted to welcome Jerry and Diana from AD Creative to our UK Offices this week. As a preferred partner, AD Creative look after Linkam’s business in China, and have a number of offices to support their growing customer base. During the visit we discussed Linkam’s expanding product range and gave our visitors a tour of our UK headquarters. Jerry and Diana are pictured outside our offices with our MD Ross, Sales Manager Clara, and Sales Engineer Ashley.

Team Building: Picnic Tables

Last Friday the Linkam team had a fun and productive lunchbreak assembling some picnic tables for outside our office. Ben and Ashley from Sales, Leo from R&D, Dan from Production and Natalie from Purchasing worked together to build two sturdy and comfortable tables that will be perfect for enjoying lunch or taking a break in the fresh air.

We have been in our new home in Salfords for just over a year now, and are continuing to settle in and make it our own. The Linkam blue picnic tables are made from 100% recycled plastic and are a great addition to our outdoor space, and we are looking forward to using them as we enter the summer season.

Linkam welcome ProSpect Scientific to the UK

We recently welcomed Kelly and Bill from ProSpect Scientific, our Canadian distributors to our UK offices in Salfords, Surrey. We had a productive couple of days of discussion on the shape of the market in Canada, alongside hands-on training on Linkam’s full product range. Bill and Kelly are pictured outside our offices with our MD Ross, Sales Manager Clara, and Sales Engineer Ashley.

Linkam Go Kart Racing

With the current F1 season well under way, some of Linkam’s finest speedsters were inspired to take to the track by engaging in some high-performance kart racing at the challenging Crawley circuit. Fierce competition between departments resulted in some thrilling racing with a fantastic display of driving skill, courage, and shunting. After two 15-minute races, Rob, our Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, emerged victorious but as (most) other participants observed it’s the taking part that really matters.

Linkam’s first year at Perrywood Business Park!

Today marks the first anniversary of our move to our UK Headquarters at Perrywood Business Park in Salfords, Surrey and what a difference a year makes! When our founder Arnold and MD Ross received the keys to our new building in July 2021, there was a lot of work to do; our building was empty and needed a total refit, now it’s a vibrant and state of the art facility with all our UK-based teams together in one building. During our first year here, we also celebrated our 40th anniversary. Here’s to the next 40 years!

Linkam Celebrates Chinese New Year with Lunchtime Buffet

Following our quarterly staff update when Ross, our Managing Director, and Helen, our Finance Director, spoke to staff about latest developments in the company, our staff enjoyed a tasty Chinese buffet to celebrate the recent Chinese New Year.

Our Sales Engineer Ashley received a fortune “You will meet someone famous”, which could turn out to be true as his colleague and fellow Engineer Ben received a fortune saying he would be famous.

Calling all WCP Users

Last year Linkam launched a new Water Circulation Pump designed specifically for our hot stage microscopy solutions, bringing an improved workflow at temperatures above 300°C on stages such as the THMS600 and the TS high temperature stages. When used with our Peltier stage the system can hold sample temperatures as low as -30°C, depending on the stage.

At Linkam we have a passion for continuous product improvement and are therefore calling on all existing WCP users to complete a short 2 minute survey on Survey Monkey, by clicking on the button below!

THIS SURVEY IS NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU TO ALL CONTRIBUTORS - YOUR VALUABLE FEEDBACK IS APPRECIATED.

Linkam says goodbye to an old faithful CNC Lathe

Linkam Founder Arnold Kamp with the old CNC Lathe

Linkam recently bid farewell to its old faithful EMCO CNC Lathe after 20 years of reliable service. Although not as big as some of our CNC machines, this machine was used to turn some of our smaller parts, adding flexibility to our production capacity.

Installation of a new Mazak QTE-200M is now underway to replace the functions of the EMCO CNC. The new lathe offers more power, advanced control features and improved productivity taking Linkam into the future.
